About REMOSA

Our research group is part of the Department of Environment, and member of the Natural Capital research platform of the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering at Ghent University, Belgium.

REMOSA evolved from the former FORSIT lab. By integrating methods and techniques from both disciplines, we foster advanced image understanding and geo-intelligence. We work in a multi-scale and multi-purpose environment with the mission of developing advanced and operational tools to map, monitor and manage urban, rural and forested landscapes in both temperate areas and the tropics.

The list of past and current projects on this website testifies to the wide spectrum of research conducted over the years in Belgium and abroad. We invite you to browse through the menus below to discover more about our activities and expertise.
